The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Les Pionniers de Touraine's Rachid Borgès in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GREEK ARMY's goalie prevented a goal. GREEK ARMY's Themos Batiropoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rachid Borgès in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute Ibrahim Chapalain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Themos Batiropoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Themos Batiropoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rachid Borgès, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After a rather tough play, GREEK ARMY's Stratos Alexatos got a free kick in the 17th minute. Valerios Tsibos's late challenge caught a Les Pionniers de Touraine's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valerios Tsibos helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for GREEK ARMY! Ibrahim Chapalain charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ibrahim Chapalain the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ibrahim Chapalain kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Marios Dermitzoglou's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bixente Morio was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. A collision led to GREEK ARMY getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Stamatis Zindros hit a great ball. Themos Batiropoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moussa Blanquart in the 35th minute of the match. Bixente Morio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marios Dermitzoglou in the 37th minute of play. GREEK ARMY's Themos Batiropoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Cauchy in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Aggelos Fytanidis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GREEK ARMY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Les Pionniers de Touraine the free kick. The supporters of Les Pionniers de Touraine booed when GREEK ARMY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aggelos Fytanidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rachid Borgès took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Themos Batiropoulos. Themos Batiropoulos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The audience was convinced that Rachid Borgès's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Themos Batiropoulos was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. After 53 played minutes GREEK ARMY got a freekick which was hit by Aggelos Fytanidis. Themos Batiropoulos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rachid Borgès's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the match, GREEK ARMY's goal looked a bit too open when Brendan Teste came free, but Themos Batiropoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Rachid Borgès notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of GREEK ARMY's Themos Batiropoulos. Themos Batiropoulos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 61 minutes into the match, Rachid Borgès had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Themos Batiropoulos. GREEK ARMY's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rachid Borgès was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Gaétan Lamirand made in the 66th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Brendan Teste. In the 67th minute, Marios Dermitzoglou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. GREEK ARMY's Stamatis Zindros got his second yellow card of the match in the 68th minute. The referee ordered Stamatis Zindros off the ground. The supporters of Les Pionniers de Touraine booed when GREEK ARMY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stamatis Zindros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valerios Tsibos kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 72 minutes into the game, Rachid Borgès cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Themos Batiropoulos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rachid Borgès recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute Moussa Blanquart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Themos Batiropoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, GREEK ARMY's goal looked a bit too open when Gaétan Lamirand came free, but Themos Batiropoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Themos Batiropoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rachid Borgès, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. When Karl Cauchy came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Les Pionniers de Touraine fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl Cauchy couldn't finish the play. Jean-Michel Guillonneau's late challenge caught a GREEK ARMY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. If Bon Culot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 96thth minute of the game Rachid Borgès who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GREEK ARMY's Themos Batiropoulos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
