The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Biagio Di Matteo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Supremacy Catania FC's Bernardo Mastronardi got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute Albano Jaizki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Biagio Di Matteo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Supremacy Catania FC's goalkeeper Biagio Di Matteo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alesandro Nesta. Albano Jaizki scored 1-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Biagio Di Matteo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Biagio Di Matteo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Mastronardi in the 38th minute of play forced A.K.Sh Albania's goalkeeper Gigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Borja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Halis Ergün in the 45th minute of play forced Supremacy Catania FC's goalkeeper Biagio Di Matteo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Supremacy Catania FC's Florian Miccoli got a free kick in the 46th minute. Mehmet Halis Ergün might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Biagio Di Matteo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mehmet Halis Ergün ran back to his position shaking his head. A.K.Sh Albania walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
