In the 7th minute, Filippo Pugliese ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manos Papaiakovou was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 13th minute, Filippo Pugliese hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panagiotis Bourousis in the 14th minute of play forced A.S. Trastevere's goalkeeper Alberto Frabetti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manos Papaiakovou didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filippo Pugliese went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 22nd minute, Ernesto Marrone left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A.S. Trastevere fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After having played for 25 minutes, Enrico De Grandis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.S. Trastevere's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrico De Grandis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Apostolos Antoniou hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Go Ahead Eagles defense, Filippo Pugliese kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manos Papaiakovou. The Go Ahead Eagles fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manos Papaiakovou should have stopped the shot. Manos Papaiakovou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filippo Pugliese, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Ntinos Vounatsos made a great header on Go Ahead Eagles's corner, it was just that A.S. Trastevere's Alberto Frabetti managed to reach the ball for a save. Manos Papaiakovou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filippo Pugliese in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half A.S. Trastevere were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Panagiotis Bourousis to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Go Ahead Eagles's goalkeeper Manos Papaiakovou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 贺诚彬. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernesto Marrone got free with Manos Papaiakovou in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manos Papaiakovou was a little too slow when Enrico De Grandis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 0-9. 75 minutes into the game, Ernesto Marrone recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Manos Papaiakovou. Ernesto Marrone showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-10. A.S. Trastevere's Ercole Laurenti was substituted for Arturo Briganti. After 81 played minutes A.S. Trastevere got a freekick which was hit by Alex Pallini. A hard shot 87 in the game by Filippo Pugliese from a close distance when the talented Manos Papaiakovou managed to make a qualified save. Go Ahead Eagles's players were relieved. 89 minutes into the match, Filippo Pugliese had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manos Papaiakovou. Go Ahead Eagles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filippo Pugliese was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-12. The referee felt a red card was in order, 93 minutes into the game, when Ntinos Vounatsos put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Go Ahead Eagles fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! A.S. Trastevere played a much better game than Go Ahead Eagles and deserved their victory. The Go Ahead Eagles players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
