In the 9th minute Alberto Pelliccioni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alkis Kalaboukas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Supremacy Catania FC were furious when Florian Bergomi was red carded, 12 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 14th minute of the match Nestoras Lazopoulos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Di Maio skillfully saved the ball. Supremacy Catania FC's Frank Di Maio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iraklis Seretis in the 18th minute of play. Bernardo Mastronardi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alkis Kalaboukas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Bernardo Mastronardi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. In the 28th minute, Peppe Mascara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frank Di Maio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panos Athanasiadis in the 31st minute of play. Alkis Kalaboukas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardo Mastronardi's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 46th match minute, GREEK ARMY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandros Kyrimlis to maneuver through the defense. Bernardo Mastronardi didn't quite understand what happened when in the 48 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernardo Mastronardi was the one to do the kick off. Manos Konstantakos's late challenge caught a Supremacy Catania FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manos Konstantakos helped the player get up and apologised. Manos Konstantakos kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Enzo Di Marzio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 62 played minutes Supremacy Catania FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Mastronardi. In the 81st minute of the match, Bernardo Mastronardi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alkis Kalaboukas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Alkis Kalaboukas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Mastronardi in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 84th minute Iraklis Seretis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Di Maio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Mastronardi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alkis Kalaboukas having to make a save.
