After 3 played minutes Meerkats FC got a freekick which was hit by Christopher Bugelli. Bianco Iachini struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Frederick Scicluna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Broom of the System DA13. In the 6th minute Leonard Calleja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ercole Giordano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonard Calleja in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ercole Giordano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ercole Giordano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Calleja in the 10th minute of play. With his leg Ercole Giordano managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Meerkats FC's Leonard Calleja fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ercole Giordano had in the 14thth minute some difficulties stopping Robert Portanier's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Cesare Aquilino charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cesare Aquilino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 15 played minutes Broom of the System DA13 got a freekick which was hit by Cesare Aquilino. In the 16th minute, Leonard Calleja fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ercole Giordano, passed just outside the right post. After 23 minutes of play, Meerkats FC's Kevin Musu made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ercole Giordano was left in no man's land by his defense there! 26 minutes into the game, Leonard Calleja lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Ercole Giordano. After 34 played minutes Broom of the System DA13 got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Mastrangelo. Zach Testaferrata Viani hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After 41 minutes, Elia Maccioni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Broom of the System DA13 and the Meerkats FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. But to his dismay, Kevin Musu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bianco Iachini was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes Broom of the System DA13 got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Cinque. After a defensive mix-up in Broom of the System DA13's zone, Leonard Calleja stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ercole Giordano came out of the goal and Leonard Calleja tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kevin Musu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ercole Giordano having to interfere. The supporters of Broom of the System DA13 booed when Meerkats FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Musu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 minutes of play, Meerkats FC's Kevin Musu made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ercole Giordano was left in no man's land by his defense there! In a very dangerous position, a player in Broom of the System DA13 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Musu in the 75th minute of play forced Broom of the System DA13's goalkeeper Ercole Giordano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeo Darmanin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Ercole Giordano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
