Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Bar Marconi United's Alex Limitone started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Filippos Kopelis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Concetto Uguccioni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anfilogino Conti during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of GREEN LIONS booed when Bar Marconi United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anfilogino Conti didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Fabrizio Greco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vaggelis Pantelidis. GREEN LIONS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabrizio Greco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 15 minutes into the match, Filippos Koutsokefalakis notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Bar Marconi United's Concetto Uguccioni. Concetto Uguccioni was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Concetto Uguccioni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Demis Laggizos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, GREEN LIONS's Filippos Kopelis broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Filippos Kopelis sped through Bar Marconi United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Concetto Uguccioni. Alex Limitone struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Vaggelis Pantelidis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bar Marconi United. The supporters of GREEN LIONS booed when Bar Marconi United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corrado Primavera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Concetto Uguccioni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filippos Kopelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the game, Alex Limitone recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vaggelis Pantelidis. Alex Limitone showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Concetto Uguccioni came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by GREEN LIONS's Filippos Koutsokefalakis. But to his dismay, Filippos Koutsokefalakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Vaggelis Pantelidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Limitone, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Demis Laggizos to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in GREEN LIONS's zone, Fabrizio Greco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vaggelis Pantelidis came out of the goal and Fabrizio Greco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Filippos Kopelis, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 58 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Concetto Uguccioni was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Demis Laggizos managed to get in a good position for a shot. GREEN LIONS's supporters rose to their feet, but Demis Laggizos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Concetto Uguccioni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute Demis Laggizos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Concetto Uguccioni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Concetto Uguccioni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignatios Papachronakis in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute of the match GREEN LIONS got a corner. Bar Marconi United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Filippos Kopelis ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 74th match minute, GREEN LIONS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filippos Kopelis to maneuver through the defense. 81 minutes into the game, GREEN LIONS's Demis Laggizos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Concetto Uguccioni made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filippos Kopelis in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Concetto Uguccioni saved Bar Marconi United from getting behind. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for GREEN LIONS! The referee gave Bar Marconi United a penalty, 87 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Carter Giancristofaro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of GREEN LIONS's Vaggelis Pantelidis. 3-4. Bar Marconi United's Concetto Uguccioni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Bar Marconi United from getting a goal against them. GREEN LIONS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
