Aggelos Markoulis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theofilos Touboulis in the 78th minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, Nikiforos Valaoras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olympiacos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Glyka Nera FC the free kick. The supporters of Glyka Nera FC booed when Olympiacos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aggelos Markoulis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lazaros Tsakrilis in the 89th minute of the match. Fotis Nousias made in the 92nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Glyka Nera FC's Loukianos Venetidis. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vaggelis Giannopoulatos got free with Anastasios Perakis in the 99th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
