The supporters of Lunatics of Arianrhod booed when Le Stade Briochin UC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc-Aurèle Hallier didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amerigo Melucci in the 16th minute of play forced Le Stade Briochin UC's goalkeeper Tord Waller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Baptiste Demestre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Fracassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Le Stade Briochin UC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
