The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrew Miggiani got free with Ettore Albertini in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Lunatics of Arianrhod's Bianco Di Paola got a free kick in the 9th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Seraċini Għawdxin's goal looked a bit too open when Davide Onori came free, but Clayton Gerada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Seraċini Għawdxin's Clayton Gerada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amerigo Melucci in the 16th minute of play. Davide Onori struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Clayton Gerada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lunatics of Arianrhod. Clayton Gerada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ettore Corvi, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Clayton Gerada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amerigo Melucci in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Ettore Corvi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lunatics of Arianrhod fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Lunatics of Arianrhod's Ettore Albertini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrew Miggiani in the 24th minute of play. Seraċini Għawdxin's Clayton Gerada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fortunato Raiola in the 26th minute of play. Ettore Albertini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrew Miggiani in the 28th minute of play. Ettore Albertini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antoine Bugelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Lunatics of Arianrhod's goalkeeper Ettore Albertini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrew Miggiani. 38 minutes into the match, Seraċini Għawdxin's goal looked a bit too open when Amerigo Melucci came free, but Clayton Gerada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Robert Seychell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ettore Albertini was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Davide Onori made a kick off. In the 58th minute Andrew Miggiani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ettore Albertini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lunatics of Arianrhod were furious when Ermanno Di Franco was red carded, 59 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. If Wayne Schembri Zerafa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 66 minutes of play, Seraċini Għawdxin's Andrew Miggiani made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ettore Albertini was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 75 played minutes Lunatics of Arianrhod got a freekick which was hit by Davide Onori. In the 79th minute, Andrew Miggiani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ettore Albertini was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. 94 minutes into the match, Lunatics of Arianrhod's goal looked a bit too open when Andrew Miggiani came free, but Ettore Albertini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Lunatics of Arianrhod getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Fedele Sasso hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrew Miggiani in the 97th minute of play forced Lunatics of Arianrhod's goalkeeper Ettore Albertini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Seraċini Għawdxin fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lunatics of Arianrhod had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
