The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 85 played minutes Ponte do Carro got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Assunção. Reinaldo Calado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Abel Meira made a huge save. 93 minutes into the match, FC Beatriz 08's goalkeeper Abel Meira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reinaldo Calado. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
