Caetano Curado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Albérico Vilaverde when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Pereira in the 13th minute of play forced SC Braga's goalkeeper Albérico Vilaverde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Mateus Vilela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, SC Braga's Alexandrino Bessa got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute, Caetano Curado made a precise shot to the right of Albérico Vilaverde. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aristides Cavaco was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Caetano Curado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albérico Vilaverde was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. 59 minutes into the match, SC Braga's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Pereira came free, but Albérico Vilaverde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albérico Vilaverde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Curado, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. SC Angrense's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
