Ronaldo Pinheiro started the match with the kick off. Albano Leizarraga's late challenge caught a São Francisco FC86's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albano Leizarraga helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of São Francisco FC86 booed when Garanhão do SUL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albano Leizarraga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Madeira kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. If Albano Leizarraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. Garanhão do SUL's Heitor Peseiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Furo Rede in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th minute, André Roriz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Roriz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mauro Castilho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Roriz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mauro Castilho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tarcísio Palha in the 31st minute. Heitor Peseiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Pinheiro in the 32nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in São Francisco FC86's zone, Albano Leizarraga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Castilho came out of the goal and Albano Leizarraga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Albano Leizarraga made a kick off. After a rather tough play, São Francisco FC86's Furo Rede got a free kick in the 54th minute. After having played for 58 minutes, Albano Leizarraga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garanhão do SUL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albano Leizarraga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mauro Castilho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albano Leizarraga in the 62nd minute of play. Heitor Peseiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Furo Rede in the 64th minute of the match. After 66 played minutes Garanhão do SUL got a freekick which was hit by Diogo Rios. Garanhão do SUL made a substitution. Obafemi Fabiani replaced Albano Leizarraga. Garanhão do SUL's Benigno Jesco was substituted for Alexandre Vale. After 67 played minutes Garanhão do SUL got a freekick which was hit by Diogo Rios. Heitor Peseiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Furo Rede, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Furo Rede scored 0-2 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Heitor Peseiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 71stth minute of the game Ronaldo Pinheiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Garanhão do SUL's Heitor Peseiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
