Gerardo Colsa started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Albano Leizarraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrés Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 6 minutes on the clock, Justino Macia commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Nelsonteam:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Garanhão do SUL:s goal. In the 7th minute there was a penalty for Garanhão do SUL. Alexandre Vale stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Andrés Torres. 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Nelsonteam's goal looked a bit too open when André Roriz came free, but Andrés Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Nelsonteam's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Vale came free, but Andrés Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Albano Leizarraga to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandre Vale got free with Andrés Torres in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Nelsonteam fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Garanhão do SUL were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
