If Antero Sacadura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedro Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Quintanilha, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Marcos Quintanilha notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of DPD FC's Pedro Nóbrega. Pedro Nóbrega was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Nóbrega prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bento lacerda made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when André Espinosa sent off a good shot on target. Aristides Santiago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bento lacerda having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Bento lacerda successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 32 played minutes Matos Velhos got a freekick which was hit by Antero Sacadura. After having played for 34 minutes, Marcos Quintanilha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matos Velhos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Quintanilha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. DPD FC's Pedro Nóbrega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Quintanilha in the 36th minute of play. Isac Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40thth minute of the game Marcos Quintanilha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DPD FC's Pedro Nóbrega was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aristides Santiago during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Matos Velhos booed when DPD FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristides Santiago didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Marcos Quintanilha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Aristides Santiago made the kick off in the second half. With his leg Pedro Nóbrega managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Matos Velhos's Marcos Quintanilha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Marcos Quintanilhas short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Pedro Nóbrega to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Pedro Nóbrega managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Matos Velhos's Marcos Quintanilha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Marcos Quintanilha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Pedro Nóbrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th match minute, DPD FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidónio Mansilha to maneuver through the defense.
