Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Gastão Cesário could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Paulo Fagundes made a huge save. In the 63rd minute, Gastão Cesário left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Manuel Valadão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severiano Lucena couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Gastão Cesário sped through Lima Team's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Paulo Fagundes. Paulo Fagundes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gastão Cesário in the 83rd minute. Gregório Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Paulo Fagundes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
