Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) When Veríssimo Castilho fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s protests and gave Veríssimo Castilho a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Stars Academy booed when Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Veríssimo Castilho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute of the match Stars Academy got a corner. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Américo Albuquerque ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Stars Academy's Américo Albuquerque to fire away a dangerous shot which Dimas Palmeira despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 8th minute, Salvador Sobral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Mourão in the 13th minute of play forced Stars Academy's goalkeeper Miguel Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Manuel Valadão was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Miguel Carneiro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 21st minute Gastão Cesário shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gastão Cesário could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Miguel Carneiro made a huge save. With a little luck, Stars Academy's Miguel Carneiro got control of the ball when Manuel Valadão tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Gastão Cesário had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Valadão in the 27th minute of play forced Stars Academy's goalkeeper Miguel Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gastão Cesário could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Miguel Carneiro made a huge save. Marcos Mourão scored 1-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Miguel Carneiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 35 minutes into the game, Lázaro Valério was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stars Academy the free kick. The supporters of Stars Academy booed when Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lázaro Valério didn't get a good kick on the ball. Óscar Soares hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Stars Academy's Américo Albuquerque couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 47th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bento Perdigão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Miguel Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Valadão in the 53rd minute of play. After 59 played minutes Stars Academy got a freekick which was hit by António Cortez. Lázaro Valério fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Carneiro having to interfere. After some careless play in the Stars Academy defense, Manuel Valadão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miguel Carneiro. The Stars Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Carneiro should have stopped the shot. If Marcos Mourão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69thth minute of the game Gastão Cesário who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stars Academy's Miguel Carneiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Stars Academy's Máximo Baía got a free kick in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Manuel Valadão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miguel Carneiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Américo Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimas Palmeira having to interfere. The supporters of Stars Academy booed when Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Morais didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miguel Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Mourão, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 78th minute, Marcos Mourão made a precise shot to the right of Miguel Carneiro. Stars Academy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Valadão in the 82nd minute of play forced Stars Academy's goalkeeper Miguel Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Valadão, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute Marcos Mourão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Valadão in the 86th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Stars Academy's Máximo Baía got a free kick in the 89th minute. Miguel Carneiro came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Lázaro Valério. But to his dismay, Lázaro Valério quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
