Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) In the 5th minute, Noel Póvoas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GD Almargense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Sílvio Prates could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Xepe Gandia made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Downchester City's Lin Sen got a free kick in the 9th minute. Sergio Rodríguez hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Xepe Gandia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Póvoas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamin Šeško received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Xepe Gandia came out and tried to block the shot, but Benjamin Šeško slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute Benjamin Šeško shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xepe Gandia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xepe Gandia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moussa N'Diaye in the 27th minute of play. After 34 played minutes, GD Almargense's Sílvio Prates shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Xepe Gandia came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in GD Almargense reached it. Enzo Millot received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Xepe Gandia came out and tried to block the shot, but Enzo Millot slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 37th minute. Xepe Gandia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sílvio Prates in the 41st minute. After a rather tough play, GD Almargense's Gervásio Viana got a free kick in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benjamin Šeško to make the kick off. Xepe Gandia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute Enzo Millot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xepe Gandia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Downchester City defense, Sílvio Prates kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Xepe Gandia. The Downchester City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xepe Gandia should have stopped the shot. GD Almargense made a substitution. Igor Matanović replaced Sílvio Prates. The supporters of GD Almargense booed when Downchester City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jamar Paige didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xepe Gandia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Rodríguez, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. GD Almargense's Igor Matanović managed to work through Downchester City's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Igor Matanović dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Benjamin Šeško scored 7-0 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xepe Gandia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. GD Almargense had played much better football throughout.
