In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Clube Esportivo Saudade's goalkeeper Ritchie Roig, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Bernat Laredo came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Clube Esportivo Saudade fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernat Laredo couldn't finish the play. Saúl Passos charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Saúl Passos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th match minute, Minho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saúl Passos to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Cardeñosa charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabriel Cardeñosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Clube Esportivo Saudade's Gabriel Cardeñosa got a free kick in the 13th minute. Ritchie Roig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerónimo Sabrosa in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 30th minute Bernat Laredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Calçada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Minho FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nacho Romero was slow to take the kick. During this time Clube Esportivo Saudade's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Clube Esportivo Saudade's Nacho Romero to fire away a dangerous shot which Jairo Calçada despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ritchie Roig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Pimentel in the 41st minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Armando Reina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Calçada having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Clube Esportivo Saudade's goal looked a bit too open when Jerónimo Sabrosa came free, but Ritchie Roig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Clube Esportivo Saudade's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jordão Figueiredo was slow to take the kick. During this time Minho FC's players had a chance to rest. When Clube Esportivo Saudade's Armando Reina in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Clube Esportivo Saudade's Nacho Romero was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jairo Calçada in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 91 minutes into the match, Bernat Laredo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jairo Calçada. Minho FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernat Laredo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After 94 played minutes Minho FC got a freekick which was hit by Adélio Figueira. In the 96th minute Armando Reina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Calçada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Minho FC's Maurício Pimentel got a free kick in the 96th minute. In the 97th minute, Bernat Laredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Clube Esportivo Saudade were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Minho FC for a fine match.
