Harald Lossmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ricardo Atarratze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Robert Enke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robert Enke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascoal Antas, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 24 minutes into the game, Altino Vidal threw the ball into play from the sideline. Terceirense F.C.'s Valter Lucena quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Terceirense F.C.'s Robert Enke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascoal Antas in the 25th minute of play. A collision led to Terceirense F.C. getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Carlos Mafra hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabriel Távora to make the kick off. The supporters of Terceirense F.C. booed when FC Fura Balizas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascoal Antas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pascoal Antas struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Robert Enke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Fura Balizas. In the 97th minute FC Fura Balizas were awarded a corner. Alex Belém went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led FC Fura Balizas's Alex Belém to fire away a dangerous shot which Robert Enke despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the final whistle went the supporters of FC Fura Balizas were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Terceirense F.C. side.
