Pannekoeken's Harold Breugel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Uwe Lack in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Thomas Knoppertz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Harold Breugel. Pannekoeken's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thomas Knoppertz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 18th minute, Folker Tollenaar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rd minute, Jens-Uwe Lack got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Thomas Knoppertz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poli Timisoara's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomas Knoppertz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harold Breugel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Thomas Knoppertz sped through Pannekoeken's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Harold Breugel. 34 minutes into the match, Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Thomas Schmuck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arno Zonneveld. If Thomas Knoppertz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 41 minutes into the game, Huub Barends was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pannekoeken's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poli Timisoara the free kick. Huub Barends hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thomas Knoppertz was the one to do the kick off. Harold Breugel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Knoppertz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute, Jens-Uwe Lack left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Poli Timisoara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Harold Breugel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Knoppertz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 63 minutes of play Pannekoeken's Huub Barends was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Huub Barends hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 65th minute by Dominic Haug got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 67th minute Thomas Knoppertz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harold Breugel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Dominic Haug ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Harold Breugel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Thomas Knoppertz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Poli Timisoara's Jan-Niclas Ebus got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, Pannekoeken's goalkeeper Harold Breugel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jens-Uwe Lack. Jan-Niclas Ebus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Harold Breugel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jens-Uwe Lack had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harold Breugel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Knoppertz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jens-Uwe Lack scored 0-6 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Harold Breugel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Jens-Uwe Lack had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Poli Timisoara played a much better game than Pannekoeken and deserved their victory. The Pannekoeken players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
