With his leg Lyubcho Ruychev managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Sporting Westmeerbeek's Senne Luijten fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lyubcho Ruychev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacque De Brouwer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 13 played minutes VN Keleler got a freekick which was hit by Rostislav Mazakov. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacque De Brouwer in the 22nd minute of play forced VN Keleler's goalkeeper Lyubcho Ruychev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rostislav Mazakov during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sporting Westmeerbeek booed when VN Keleler was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sporting Westmeerbeek's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacque De Brouwer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lyubcho Ruychev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 32 minutes, Nestor Naegels mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting Westmeerbeek and the VN Keleler players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sporting Westmeerbeek getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Lyubcho Ruychev came out of the goal and Senne Luijten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Senne Luijten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Lyubcho Ruychev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the VN Keleler defense, Jacque De Brouwer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lyubcho Ruychev. The VN Keleler fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lyubcho Ruychev should have stopped the shot. If Alex Sarangapani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Senne Luijten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Lyubcho Ruychev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. VN Keleler's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
