The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Florian Antl could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Kenneth van der Leegte made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hette van Dijk in the 7th minute of play forced FK TEPLICE STARS's goalkeeper Milan Bakeš to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FK TEPLICE STARS booed when SV Wissenkerke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leendert Looze didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Jiří Mertlík got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
