Dimitri Huijbreghts was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 7 minutes into the match, Esquirla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xande Xande came free, but Dimitri Huijbreghts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute Xande Xande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitri Huijbreghts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Boris Henning in the 17th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Esquirla FC's Ruben Hally. 21 minutes into the game, Steffen Mühlfort was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Unterrudling's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esquirla FC the free kick. In the 21st minute, Steffen Mühlfort hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dimitri Huijbreghts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xande Xande, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Kasper Viskens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Wilhelm Gooß made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xande Xande in the 33rd minute of play forced Esquirla FC's goalkeeper Dimitri Huijbreghts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute Xande Xande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitri Huijbreghts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruben Hally during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 41st match minute, Esquirla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Hally to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 43 minutes, Xande Xande managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Unterrudling's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xande Xande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute, Xande Xande left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Unterrudling fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Dimitri Huijbreghts didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ćiro Immobile went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. After the first half FC Unterrudling were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Wilhelm Gooß showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kasper Viskens in the 53rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Esquirla FC's Gregorie De Mees got a free kick in the 55th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xande Xande got free with Dimitri Huijbreghts in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kasper Viskens kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, FC Unterrudling's Xande Xande sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dimitri Huijbreghts narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Esquirla FC's zone, Xande Xande stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dimitri Huijbreghts came out of the goal and Xande Xande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Steffen Mühlfort struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Dimitri Huijbreghts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Unterrudling. With a little luck, Esquirla FC's Dimitri Huijbreghts got control of the ball when Xande Xande tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dimitri Huijbreghts was a little too slow when Xande Xande got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 1-4. Dimitri Huijbreghts made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xande Xande in the 75th minute. The supporters of FC Unterrudling booed when Esquirla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurens Van Aken didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Esquirla FC's Laurens Van Aken got a free kick in the 77th minute. If Xande Xande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dimitri Huijbreghts didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xande Xande went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Esquirla FC's Dimitri Huijbreghts got control of the ball when Xande Xande tried to sneak it across the goal line. Xande Xande might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dimitri Huijbreghts. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xande Xande ran back to his position shaking his head. Dimitri Huijbreghts made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Xande Xande sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th minute, Brandon Steinmetz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The FC Unterrudling players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
