Cup2's Galin Hadzhiyski was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Anton Lalchev in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rusi Hetemov's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Karl-Michael Hjeltman firmly grabbed it by the left post. 12 minutes into the match, Kuzman Leyarski notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Cup2's Karl-Michael Hjeltman. Karl-Michael Hjeltman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tzanko Papukchiev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Anton Lalchev was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anton Lalchev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Ødegaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute, William Saliba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl-Michael Hjeltman acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 39th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Kuzman Leyarski. 40 minutes into the game, William Saliba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cup2's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MANCHESTER UNITED the free kick. William Saliba hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the game, MANCHESTER UNITED's Rusi Hetemov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karl-Michael Hjeltman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tzanko Papukchiev was the one to do the kick off. Cup2's Karl-Michael Hjeltman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denimir Slabakov in the 54th minute of play. In the 58thth minute of the game Rusi Hetemov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cup2's Karl-Michael Hjeltman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Cup2 booed when MANCHESTER UNITED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paun Hadzhiev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anton Lalchev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iskren Nikolchov in the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th minute Martin Ødegaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Lalchev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by MANCHESTER UNITED's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Galin Hadzhiyski was slow to take the kick. During this time Cup2's players had a chance to rest. Galin Hadzhiyski made a great header on Cup2's corner, it was just that MANCHESTER UNITED's Anton Lalchev managed to reach the ball for a save. Karl-Michael Hjeltman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denimir Slabakov in the 84th minute of play. Tzanko Papukchiev received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anton Lalchev came out and tried to block the shot, but Tzanko Papukchiev slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 85th minute.
