KV Schoonwater's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axell De Ketelaere was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The tension between the Ad Fundum and the KV Schoonwater players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of KV Schoonwater booed when Ad Fundum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Van Gertsuyden didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

After 83 played minutes KV Schoonwater got a freekick which was hit by Benedict Moreau. When Marek Kustermans came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Ad Fundum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marek Kustermans couldn't finish the play. Jorre Jespers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Luke Scheerens made a huge save. Luke Scheerens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arno Maerschalks in the 86th minute.
