Theo Zoontjens had several of the NFC Eagles 22's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 7 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Robert-Jan Hermensen as he didn't even see the shot coming. Oscar Vaalman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Robert-Jan Hermensen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hendrik Hoekstra, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Verwachting's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni Rademaker came free, but Kees Veentjer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kees Veentjer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huib van der Gun in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Theo Zoontjens dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Robert-Jan Hermensen, 3-0. In the 20thth minute of the game Huib van der Gun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Verwachting's Kees Veentjer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oscar Vaalman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Robert-Jan Hermensen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Vaalman in the 26th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, NFC Eagles 22's goal looked a bit too open when Ruud Geels came free, but Robert-Jan Hermensen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Ruud Geels ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robert-Jan Hermensen was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giovanni Rademaker during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Verwachting booed when NFC Eagles 22 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovanni Rademaker didn't get a good kick on the ball. NFC Eagles 22's Robert-Jan Hermensen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Vaalman in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovanni Rademaker in the 40th minute of play forced Verwachting's goalkeeper Kees Veentjer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Huib van der Gun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Huib van der Gun to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Huib van der Gun got free with Kees Veentjer in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Huib van der Gun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert-Jan Hermensen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Vaalman in the 67th minute of the match. After some careless play in the NFC Eagles 22 defense, Ruud Geels kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robert-Jan Hermensen. The NFC Eagles 22 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert-Jan Hermensen should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruud Geels in the 77th minute of play forced NFC Eagles 22's goalkeeper Robert-Jan Hermensen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert-Jan Hermensen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Theo Zoontjens went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Vaalman in the 82nd minute of play forced NFC Eagles 22's goalkeeper Robert-Jan Hermensen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruud Geels took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robert-Jan Hermensen. Robert-Jan Hermensen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Robert-Jan Hermensen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Vaalman, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The supporters of NFC Eagles 22 booed when Verwachting was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zanko Garchev didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Huib van der Gun managed to get in a good position for a shot. NFC Eagles 22's supporters rose to their feet, but Huib van der Gun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kees Veentjer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
