ASV Muziekwijk's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernando Baiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by ASV Muziekwijk's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Geale van den Brink was slow to take the kick. During this time S.C. Potentia's players had a chance to rest. 15 minutes into the game, S.C. Potentia's Kristján Kipper nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leon Bergen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. A collision led to S.C. Potentia getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Kristján Kipper hit a great ball. After 21 minutes of play, S.C. Potentia's Kristján Kipper made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leon Bergen was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Fernando Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 24th minute, Kristján Kipper ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leon Bergen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 34 minutes into the match, S.C. Potentia's goalkeeper Naci Ünüvar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jelte de Jong. 42 minutes into the match, Fernando Baiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leon Bergen. Leon Bergen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristján Kipper in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Kristján Kipper's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leon Bergen firmly grabbed it by the left post. Herman Meppelink made in the 67th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by S.C. Potentia's Jesper Håkansson. Leon Bergen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristján Kipper in the 70th minute of play. Fernando Baiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. ASV Muziekwijk's Leon Bergen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save ASV Muziekwijk from getting a goal against them. In the 79th minute, Kristján Kipper ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leon Bergen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. Fernando Baiano's late challenge caught a ASV Muziekwijk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Baiano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th minute, Fernando Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leon Bergen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristján Kipper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the game, S.C. Potentia's Fernando Baiano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leon Bergen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-10.
