Decathlon Dudes's César Sousa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Decathlon Dudes from getting a goal against them. Kolkhis Papadakos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Ayuso, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Luuk Theunissen kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Hilhorst in the 13th minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Kolkhis Papadakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the AFK Petržalka defense, Wilco Keldermans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kolkhis Papadakos. The AFK Petržalka fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kolkhis Papadakos should have stopped the shot. Daan Wegman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AFK Petržalka's Kolkhis Papadakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilco Keldermans in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Daan Wegman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kolkhis Papadakos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a rather tough play, Decathlon Dudes's Luuk Theunissen got a free kick in the 51st minute. With a little luck, AFK Petržalka's Kolkhis Papadakos got control of the ball when Juan Ayuso tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Decathlon Dudes booed when AFK Petržalka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dávid Strelec didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juan Ayuso who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Kolkhis Papadakos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 67 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's goal looked a bit too open when Wilco Keldermans came free, but Kolkhis Papadakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kolkhis Papadakos came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Decathlon Dudes's Daan Wegman. But to his dismay, Daan Wegman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. César Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikola Krstović in the 78th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Nikola Krstović left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AFK Petržalka fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. 83 minutes into the match, Nikola Krstović notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Decathlon Dudes's César Sousa. César Sousa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nikola Krstović took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised César Sousa. César Sousa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. Kolkhis Papadakos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilco Keldermans in the 92nd minute. Decathlon Dudes's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because AFK Petržalka had won, even though Decathlon Dudes had held more of the ball.
