Vitório Simão started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Noia's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Simão came free, but Hermínio Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. PATO BRANCO FC's José Carlos Torres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save PATO BRANCO FC from getting a goal against them. Hermínio Barros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eulalio Peio went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Noia getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Valdemar Figueiredo hit a great ball. If Wágner Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Simão in the 19th minute of play forced Noia's goalkeeper Hermínio Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute of the match PATO BRANCO FC got a corner. Noia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wágner Alves ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Wágner Alves got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hermínio Barros quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 21st minute, Valdemar Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Otávio de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, PATO BRANCO FC's Eulalio Peio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hermínio Barros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Antônio Mello fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Noia's protests and gave Antônio Mello a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th match minute, Noia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Mello to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Noia's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Simão came free, but Hermínio Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee ignored PATO BRANCO FC's protests and gave Ricardinho Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. After 44 played minutes PATO BRANCO FC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardinho Carvalho. The supporters of Noia booed when PATO BRANCO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Simão didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Fernando Simão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Hermínio Barros made a huge save. Noia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Fernando Simão scored to the left of an out of position Hermínio Barros, making the score, 0-4. 65 minutes into the game, PATO BRANCO FC's Eulalio Peio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hermínio Barros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. José Carlos Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdemar Figueiredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Eulalio Peio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hermínio Barros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernando Simão's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. A collision led to PATO BRANCO FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Eulalio Peio hit a great ball. Noia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Fernando Simão scored to the left of an out of position Hermínio Barros, making the score, 0-7. PATO BRANCO FC played a much better game than Noia and deserved their victory. The Noia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
