Thiago de Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Luiz Souto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Paulo Romero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, André Luís Cardoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rômulo Camargo. Barra EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that André Luís Cardoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, Pedro Luiz Souto notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Flying Dutch's Luís Paulo Romero. Luís Paulo Romero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Niceto Xacintu took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rômulo Camargo. Rômulo Camargo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Pedro Luiz Souto struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Luís Paulo Romero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barra EC. 24 minutes into the match, Niceto Xacintu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rômulo Camargo. Barra EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niceto Xacintu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Roger Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Paulo Romero having to interfere. A collision led to Barra EC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Manuel Loyola hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Niceto Xacintu took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Rômulo Camargo to make any attempt to save it. Pedro Luiz Souto kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Thiago de Mendonça fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rômulo Camargo, passed just outside the right post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. André Luís Cardoso was the one to do the kick off. André Luís Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th match minute, Barra EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Cearense to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the match, Niceto Xacintu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rômulo Camargo. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luís Cardoso in the 64th minute of play forced Barra EC's goalkeeper Rômulo Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 67 in the game by Pedro Luiz Souto from a close distance when the talented Luís Paulo Romero managed to make a qualified save. Flying Dutch's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Barra EC's Eusébio Freitas got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 74thth minute of the game Niceto Xacintu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barra EC's Rômulo Camargo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Manuel Loyola hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodolfo Santos in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rômulo Camargo saved Barra EC from getting behind. Barra EC's Rômulo Camargo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Santos in the 79th minute of play. Luís Paulo Romero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Luiz Souto in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute Barra EC were awarded a corner. Fernandinho Alves went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thiago de Mendonça in the 86th minute of play forced Barra EC's goalkeeper Rômulo Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thiago de Mendonça scored 6-1 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rômulo Camargo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fabian Ivașcu succeeded in the game's 95th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 7-1. When the referee ended the match the Flying Dutch players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
