Spectators: 143 (Terracing: 110, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 0) Naldo Fonseca started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Anier Sayvion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caco Mota in the 7th minute of play. Bengt-Arne Stor kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. EDI MZB's Valdo de Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save EDI MZB from getting a goal against them. In the 24th match minute, EDI MZB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidnei Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. Geovanni Vianna kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After 33 played minutes, EDI MZB's Adrianinho Teles shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anier Sayvion came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in EDI MZB reached it. In the 34th minute, Belmiro Sanches ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anier Sayvion was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Anier Sayvion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belmiro Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 40 played minutes EDI MZB got a freekick which was hit by Adrianinho Teles. Caco Mota took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anier Sayvion. Anier Sayvion dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Belmiro Sanches to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Vanderslaike FC's goal looked a bit too open when Belmiro Sanches came free, but Anier Sayvion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Vanderslaike FC's Naldo Fonseca got a free kick in the 58th minute. EDI MZB's Valdo de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Lopes in the 62nd minute of play. A collision led to Vanderslaike FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Naldo Fonseca hit a great ball. Hortêncio Passos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Anier Sayvion made a huge save. With 68 minutes on the clock, Leonel Leão commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 68th minute, Leonel Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Naldo Fonseca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valdo de Queirós read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. After 70 minutes, David Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EDI MZB and the Vanderslaike FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Naldo Fonseca scored 1-2 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valdo de Queirós, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
