Hugo Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rufino Rengifo in the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute Samuel Cosme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Leite in the 9th minute of play forced Dragões de Campo Grande's goalkeeper Hugo Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo Santos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samuel Cosme's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Pedro Luiz Vaz hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Samuel Cosme put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hugo Santos. After a rather tough play, Renascença A.C.'s Cristóvão Leite got a free kick in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Dragões de Campo Grande's goal looked a bit too open when Rodger Chu came free, but Hugo Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute, José Maria Coutinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hugo Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciriaco George, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Rufino Rengifo took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Hugo Santos to make any attempt to save it. In the 68th minute Charles Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Luz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Dragões de Campo Grande booed when Renascença A.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renascença A.C. played a much better game than Dragões de Campo Grande and deserved their victory. The Dragões de Campo Grande players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
