Baltazar Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Passos in the 9th minute of play. Ciriaco George scored 2-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filipe Leme, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 16 minutes into the game, Rufino Rengifo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Filipe Leme. Rufino Rengifo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciriaco George got free with Filipe Leme in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Cosme in the 20th minute of play forced Puei EC's goalkeeper Filipe Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristóvão Leite got free with Filipe Leme in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caco Costa during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Caco Costa hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Rufino Rengifo sped through Puei EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Filipe Leme. Filipe Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Dionísio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristóvão Leite got free with Filipe Leme in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Filipe Leme successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Puei EC's Filipe Leme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Puei EC from getting a goal against them. In the 31st match minute, Puei EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caco Costa to maneuver through the defense. Cristóvão Leite, 32 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 38th match minute, Renascença A.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Dionísio to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute of the match Lenílson Almeida shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baltazar Luz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nildo Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltazar Luz having to interfere. Rufino Rengifo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Filipe Leme made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rufino Rengifo got free with Filipe Leme in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rufino Rengifo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Samuel Cosme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filipe Leme was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. When Cássio Marques came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Puei EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cássio Marques couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute Ciriaco George shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Puei EC's Cláudio Passos got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Filipe Leme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rufino Rengifo, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Filipe Leme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. In the 86th minute, Samuel Cosme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filipe Leme was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rufino Rengifo in the 89th minute of play forced Puei EC's goalkeeper Filipe Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
