The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Saecinza's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Severino Soares fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Saecinza's Júlio Alagoano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauan Guerra in the 4th minute of play. Augusto Paranaense took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Júlio Alagoano. Júlio Alagoano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Júlio Alagoano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Soares in the 11th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Augusto Paranaense left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clube Atlético Paulista fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 20th minute Kauan Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Alagoano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Clube Atlético Paulista's Júlio Alagoano threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lucas Martínez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 46th match minute, Clube Atlético Paulista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Martínez to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severino Soares was the one to do the kick off. Júlio Alagoano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kauan Guerra in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Júlio Alagoano saved Saecinza from getting behind. After 65 minutes of play, Clube Atlético Paulista's Augusto Paranaense made it 10-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The supporters of Clube Atlético Paulista booed when Saecinza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardinho Pombal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Júlio Alagoano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucas Martínez went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 13-0 was the resulting score. In the 97th minute Severino Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Alagoano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clube Atlético Paulista walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
