The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Otávio Dante made a precise shot to the right of Ronaldão Souza. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 6th minute, Otávio Dante ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronaldão Souza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ronaldão Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Bastos in the 8th minute of the match. The supporters of FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA booed when Lea FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Bastos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Otávio Dante cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Ronaldão Souza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ronaldão Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otávio Dante in the 16th minute of play. When João Francisco Barbosa fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's protests and gave João Francisco Barbosa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. João Francisco Barbosa hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Adalberto Gaspar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomé Baptista was the one to do the kick off. Hugo Bastos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA defense, Hugo Bastos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronaldão Souza. The FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronaldão Souza should have stopped the shot. Ronaldão Souza was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hugo Bastos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 60 minute of play. When Hugo Bastos came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Lea FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Bastos couldn't finish the play. The supporters of FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA booed when Lea FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Otávio Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lea FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
