When Albertinho Borges fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Diamond Football Club's protests and gave Albertinho Borges a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute, Albertinho Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Allan Barbosa made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Albertinho Borges sent off a good shot on target. The corner ended in Luiz Fernando Pombal almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Irreal Madrid's Allan Barbosa did a great save. Allan Barbosa was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Albertinho Borges capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Albertinho Borges really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Albertinho Borges kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Allan Barbosa. That made the score 2-0 in the 19 minute of play. Allan Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Soeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Irreal Madrid getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Kiko Senna hit a great ball. Irreal Madrid's Allan Barbosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Irreal Madrid from getting a goal against them. Cléberson Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kiko Senna in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Eugênio Goiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th match minute, Diamond Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toninho do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandre Soeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Nico Corrêa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Diamond Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Allan Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho Borges in the 60th minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Edgard Loureiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nico Corrêa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Allan Barbosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. After 69 minutes of play, Diamond Football Club's Albertinho Borges made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Allan Barbosa was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Irreal Madrid getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Acácio Baiano hit a great ball. Alexandre Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Allan Barbosa having to interfere. Jaime Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertinho Borges in the 83rd minute of play forced Irreal Madrid's goalkeeper Allan Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diamond Football Club walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
