In the 7th match minute, Vae Victis!! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juninho Lopes to maneuver through the defense. When Wesley Botelho came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Vae Victis!! fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wesley Botelho couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Vae Victis!! getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Marcos Garcia hit a great ball. In the 19thth minute of the game Dinei Goiano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vae Victis!!'s Eulalio Llorian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Dinei Goiano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Eulalio Llorian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. José Maria Teixeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Naldo Mello made a huge save. Naldo Mello didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 27th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Dinei Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eulalio Llorian having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Dinei Goiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Filipe Motta could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Naldo Mello however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Vae Victis!! getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Marcos Garcia hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the match, Dinei Goiano notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Vae Victis!!'s Eulalio Llorian. Eulalio Llorian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filipe Motta got free with Naldo Mello in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eulalio Llorian didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dinei Goiano went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. After the first half Wambalamba FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dinei Goiano to strike the kick off in the second half. If Wesley Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iuri Vidal hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute of the match, Dinei Goiano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eulalio Llorian saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Juninho Lopes got his second yellow card in the match during the 58th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Wambalamba FC booed when Vae Victis!! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juninho Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the game, Vae Victis!!'s Filipe Motta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Naldo Mello made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. After 68 played minutes Vae Victis!! got a freekick which was hit by José Maria Teixeira. Vae Victis!! made a substitution. Falcão Garcia replaced José Maria Teixeira. After having played for 72 minutes, Greg Moore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vae Victis!!'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Greg Moore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 74th minute Wesley Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Mello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Naldo Mello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greg Moore, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After some careless play in the Wambalamba FC defense, Falcão Garcia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Naldo Mello. The Wambalamba FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Naldo Mello should have stopped the shot. Greg Moore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naldo Mello having to interfere. In the 86th minute Marcos Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Mello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Vae Victis!! booed when Wambalamba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmir de Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Falcão Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Falcão Garcia scored 4-3 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Naldo Mello, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vae Victis!!'s Falcão Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Wambalamba FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Vae Victis!!.
