Jonas Machado started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Hamílton Campidelis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Adhemar da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Renato Lago during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Renato Lago kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Edvaldo Pinho got a free kick in the 7th minute. Naldo Mello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 17th minute, Dedé Brodel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Andes FC - FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Wambalamba FC booed when Los Andes FC - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedé Brodel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ were furious when Felippe Madureira was red carded, 29 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinei Goiano in the 34th minute of play forced Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Caetano Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Caetano Salles got control of the ball when Dinei Goiano tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Naldo Mello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dedé Brodel hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. A collision led to Wambalamba FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Adhemar da Fonseca hit a great ball. Caetano Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adhemar da Fonseca in the 56th minute of the match. Fabrício Arce struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Naldo Mello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Andes FC - FSCMZ. If Dinei Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Dinei Goiano came free, but Caetano Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caetano Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adhemar da Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 84 played minutes Los Andes FC - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Fabrício Arce. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Dedé Brodel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Dedé Brodel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Naldo Mello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Wambalamba FC's zone, Fabrício Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Naldo Mello came out of the goal and Fabrício Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kauan Soares hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Fabrício Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naldo Mello having to interfere. Wambalamba FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Los Andes FC - FSCMZ had controlled the match.
