In the 3rd match minute, Minotauro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulinho Santos to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernesto Damião got free with Joélson Carvalho in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Ricardinho Vander came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Litoral EC - CIMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardinho Vander couldn't finish the play. Minotauro's Giovanni de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho Vander in the 11th minute of play. Ernesto Damião struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Joélson Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Minotauro. Paulo José Campidelis hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute Ernesto Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joélson Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joélson Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartosz Bednorz, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After some careless play in the Minotauro defense, Guto Recife kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giovanni de Toledo. The Minotauro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giovanni de Toledo should have stopped the shot. Joélson Carvalho was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ernesto Damião showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 22 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Igor Berger during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joélson Carvalho was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Ernesto Damião capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ernesto Damião really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. In the 35th minute Ricardinho Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovanni de Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Litoral EC - CIMZ booed when Minotauro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulinho Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Litoral EC - CIMZ defense, Emílio Matorin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joélson Carvalho. The Litoral EC - CIMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joélson Carvalho should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd minute of the match, Ernesto Damião got a very nice opportunity to score, but Joélson Carvalho was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ernesto Damião's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Joélson Carvalho firmly grabbed it by the left post. Tomás Sarmento's late challenge caught a Minotauro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomás Sarmento helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Litoral EC - CIMZ's Tomás Sarmento got a free kick in the 45th minute. Joélson Carvalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernesto Damião in the 47th minute.

Ernesto Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joélson Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Damião in the 53rd minute of play. If Ernesto Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rafael Paraíba fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Minotauro's protests and gave Rafael Paraíba a yellow card for diving instead. Rafael Paraíba hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Minotauro's Ernesto Damião got a free kick in the 64th minute. The long shot by Paulo José Campidelis in the 65th minute really tested Giovanni de Toledo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Litoral EC - CIMZ's Joélson Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Damião in the 70th minute of play. Perivaldo Dias's late challenge caught a Litoral EC - CIMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Perivaldo Dias helped the player get up and apologised. After 79 played minutes Minotauro got a freekick which was hit by Perivaldo Dias. Litoral EC - CIMZ's Joélson Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Damião in the 83rd minute of play. Ricardinho Vander who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Giovanni de Toledo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ernesto Damião charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernesto Damião the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Giovanni de Toledo was a little too slow when Ulisses Munhoz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 3-2. Joélson Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
