After 14 minutes, Nicodim Mihădaș mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alvinegro Carioca and the New Loser FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nicodim Mihădaș hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Cássio Aguiar was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Aírton Quirino. José Augusto Quirino hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Alvinegro Carioca's Cássio Aguiar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Alvinegro Carioca from getting a goal against them. Silvinho Brodel hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Jefferson Mesquita in the 32nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by New Loser FC's Sydney Silva. A collision led to New Loser FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Anestis Kakalis hit a great ball. New Loser FC's Eliseu Negri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Augusto Quirino in the 41st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Anestis Kakalis put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Cássio Aguiar. Anestis Kakalis took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cássio Aguiar. Cássio Aguiar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

In the 53rd match minute, New Loser FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luan de Castro to maneuver through the defense. Eliseu Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Augusto Sampaio in the 55th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Alvinegro Carioca's José Augusto Quirino got a free kick in the 56th minute. Hernani Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cássio Aguiar having to interfere. After 63 played minutes New Loser FC got a freekick which was hit by Tarcisio Bezerra. Cássio Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anestis Kakalis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Alvinegro Carioca's Carlos Augusto Sampaio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eliseu Negri. That made the score 2-1 after 74 minutes of play. After 77 played minutes Alvinegro Carioca got a freekick which was hit by Léo Faria. Cássio Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anestis Kakalis in the 79th minute of the match. In the 87th match minute, New Loser FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernani Ramos to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to New Loser FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Sydney Silva hit a great ball. The supporters of New Loser FC booed when Alvinegro Carioca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermínio Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. New Loser FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Alvinegro Carioca for a fine match.
