An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeu Sarmento in the 3rd minute of play forced Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Bernardo Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 4 played minutes Alvinegro Carioca got a freekick which was hit by Léo Faria. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Pirani in the 6th managed to get into a good position. Cássio Aguiar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Eduardo Sergipano went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 13 played minutes Vascogoianiense FC got a freekick which was hit by Válter Martins. Jefferson Mesquita struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Bernardo Corrêa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alvinegro Carioca. 16 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeu Sarmento came free, but Bernardo Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matheus Paraíba made a kick off. The supporters of Vascogoianiense FC booed when Alvinegro Carioca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wágner Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Anderson Valladares dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cássio Aguiar, 2-3.
