The referee ignored New Loser FC's protests and gave Sydney Silva a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, New Loser FC's Sydney Silva got a free kick in the 11th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Anestis Kakalis managed to get in a good position for a shot. New Loser FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anestis Kakalis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Décio Barbosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Décio Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anestis Kakalis in the 19th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anestis Kakalis in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Décio Barbosa saved Microsoft Team from getting behind. A collision led to Microsoft Team getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Rubinho Furtado hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Luiz Eduardo Netto made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardinho Neiva during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 54 played minutes Microsoft Team got a freekick which was hit by Ricardinho Neiva. In the 55th minute, Bernardinho Peixoto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aírton Quirino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Décio Barbosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anestis Kakalis in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Décio Barbosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luiz Eduardo Netto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Eliseu Negri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Luan de Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliseu Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Eduardo Netto in the 71st minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, New Loser FC's Anestis Kakalis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Décio Barbosa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Microsoft Team manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing New Loser FC to win.
