The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cássio Gaspar came out of the goal in the 2nd minute to try and stop a shot by Inter de Munique's Serginho Lopez. But to his dismay, Serginho Lopez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 7th minute, Rubinho Munhoz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inter de Munique fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When Inter de Munique's Antônio Carlos Meira in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's goalie prevented a goal. The Inter de Munique fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Inter de Munique's Rubinho Munhoz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 23rd minute, Rubinho Munhoz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cássio Gaspar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubinho Munhoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute of the match Olívio Branco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cássio Gaspar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rubinho Munhoz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, André Luís Nunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS and the Inter de Munique players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th match minute, ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Luís Nunes to maneuver through the defense. Léo Pombal scored 0-7 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cássio Gaspar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's Gilberto Couto got a free kick in the 60th minute. Flávio de Mendonça hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 69th minute, when Inter de Munique's Antônio Carlos Meira after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Cássio Gaspar in ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Cássio Gaspar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antônio Carlos Meira in the 70th minute. Antônio Carlos Meira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cássio Gaspar having to interfere. After 73 minutes, Rubinho Munhoz made it 0-9 with a short kick to the right side. ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's Cássio Gaspar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's Cássio Gaspar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 96 minutes into the match, Rubinho Munhoz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cássio Gaspar. ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rubinho Munhoz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-13. Inter de Munique's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
