Belmiro Paraíba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patrick Recife having to make a save. If Eurico Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, AC Metropol's Jarbas Azevedo got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute, Eurico Dante sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and AC Metropol's Patrick Recife didn't even have to move. When Eliseu Linhares came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Xurupita FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseu Linhares couldn't finish the play. After having played for 23 minutes, Eliseu Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xurupita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseu Linhares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Otávio Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Hílton Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patrick Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Paraíba in the 29th minute of play. Patrick Recife showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião Barros in the 31st minute of the match. With a little luck, Xurupita FC's Hílton Costa got control of the ball when Otávio Toledo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the AC Metropol defense, Eliseu Linhares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patrick Recife. The AC Metropol fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrick Recife should have stopped the shot. Marcus Meirelles charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcus Meirelles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marcus Meirelles kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. If Otávio Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The AC Metropol players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Xurupita FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hamílton Miranda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hílton Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otávio Toledo in the 52nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Xurupita FC's Patrick Recife threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eurico Dante, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 55 minutes, Belmiro Paraíba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xurupita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Belmiro Paraíba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Xurupita FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseu Linhares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrick Recife breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The AC Metropol fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Xurupita FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
