The Best Ones's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Cristóvão de Sousa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Sílvio Zonta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 28th minute of the game Teodoro Couto made a throw-in which Joélson de Godoi played forward. 30 minutes into the match, The Best Ones's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Paulo França came free, but Wellington Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of The Best Ones booed when TAQUARI FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastião Vander didn't get a good kick on the ball.
