Nando de Alcântara spun around in front of the goal 8 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Família Ressaca MZ's goal. 12 minutes into the match, Família Ressaca MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Hernani Travassos came free, but Romeu Donato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Catugi FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Hernani Travassos hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Catugi FC's Aílton Domingues got a free kick in the 16th minute. With a little luck, Catugi FC's Folke Österlund got control of the ball when Luiz Fábio Lopez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Família Ressaca MZ's Romeu Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dudu Borges in the 95th minute of play. In the 95th match minute, Catugi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aílton Domingues to maneuver through the defense. 97 minutes into the game, one of Catugi FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Família Ressaca MZ a penalty, 98 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Oswaldo Tróia, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Catugi FC's Folke Österlund. 1-4.
