In the 3rd minute, Família Ressaca MZ's Bernardinho Vieira seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bernardinho Vieira the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Família Ressaca MZ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bernardinho Vieira had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 3 minutes into the game, one of Família Ressaca MZ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Família Ressaca MZ:s Romeu Donato showed great skill when he stopped Heintje Korte:s penalty. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Romeu Donato successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonathan Seco during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th minute of the match Oswaldo Tróia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Heintje Didarov skillfully saved the ball. Romeu Donato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuseppe da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Família Ressaca MZ's Romeu Donato got control of the ball when Gugu Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Fábio Lopez in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Heintje Didarov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Luiz Fábio Lopez put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Heintje Didarov. The supporters of Família Ressaca MZ booed when Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silas Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Luiz Fábio Lopez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Família Ressaca MZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Romeu Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giuseppe da Costa in the 30th minute of the match. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Heintje Didarov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fábio Lopez in the 35th minute of play. Romeu Donato made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gugu Silva in the 44th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gugu Silva got free with Romeu Donato in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Oswaldo Tróia in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. After a rather tough play, Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Silas Costa got a free kick in the 85th minute. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ. Família Ressaca MZ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
