Fellipe dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Murilo Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Douglas Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Eger having to interfere. Nelsinho Bastos's late challenge caught a Montesclarense E.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nelsinho Bastos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 64th minute, Nelsinho Bastos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Montesclarense E.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Nelsinho Bastos scored to the left of an out of position Luiz Eger, making the score, 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Vitório Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montesclarense E.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Vitório Melo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Murilo Paiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Téo Vianna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Luiz Eger made a huge save. Luiz Eger was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelsinho Bastos in the 97th minute of play forced Montesclarense E.C.'s goalkeeper Luiz Eger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Montesclarense E.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Curiphila Eagles were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
