After 3 minutes, Kiko Secco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the União Verde FC and the Agua Santa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Valdir Pérez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Pinho in the 4th minute of the match. Valdir Pérez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Pinho in the 8th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Cipriano Pinho in the 11th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Valdir Pérez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laércio Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. When Alan Moreira fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Agua Santa's protests and gave Alan Moreira a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Agua Santa getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Alan Moreira hit a great ball. Laércio Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Pinho in the 29th minute of play forced União Verde FC's goalkeeper Valdir Pérez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 played minutes União Verde FC got a freekick which was hit by Valdomiro Paraibano. Téo Tróia took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Valdir Pérez. União Verde FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cipriano Pinho in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valdir Pérez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gilvan Pombal kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Valdir Pérez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cipriano Pinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kiko Secco kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 53rd minute of the match, Cipriano Pinho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Valdir Pérez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a left leg Valdir Pérez saved União Verde FC from getting behind. Laércio Neves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Valdir Pérez made a huge save. Valdir Pérez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Pinho in the 67th minute of the match. Pedro Luís Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ademir Cearense fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored União Verde FC's protests and gave Ademir Cearense a yellow card for diving instead. Ademir Cearense hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, União Verde FC's Rogério Ferraz got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute of the match Téo Tróia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valdir Pérez skillfully saved the ball. Valdir Pérez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Pinho in the 94th minute of play. The União Verde FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Agua Santa were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
