Guilherme Duarte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 9th minute Gil Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Werneck FC - DMZ's Caco Corrêa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guilherme Duarte made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Caco Corrêa scored 0-3 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guilherme Duarte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 18th match minute, Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the game, Geovanni Botelho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Werneck FC - DMZ the free kick. Geovanni Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Caco Corrêa scored 0-4 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guilherme Duarte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Werneck FC - DMZ booed when Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualter Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiago Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Guilherme Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sidnei Teixeira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gilson Queiroz came out and tried to block the shot, but Sidnei Teixeira slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 44th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The wind increased when Caco Corrêa made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Werneck FC - DMZ getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Tiago Freitas hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the match, Werneck FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Gil Hoffmann came free, but Gilson Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Freitas in the 59th minute of play forced Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Guilherme Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gualter Queirós hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After 70 minutes, Fabiano Massa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Werneck FC - DMZ and the Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 70th minute, Fabiano Massa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th match minute, Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christiano de Godoi to maneuver through the defense. Guilherme Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breno Zonta in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Virgílio Toledo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Werneck FC - DMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- the free kick. When Gualter Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gualter Queirós couldn't finish the play. Werneck FC - DMZ's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
